Provides the funding and oversight for the AmeriCorps (the 'Domestic Peace Corps') Program in Nebraska. Promotes, supports, and provides training and technical assistance for AmeriCorps State members and community-based National Service programs.

Promotes volunteering throughout Nebraska through volunteer service awards.

Promotes National Days of Service, such as Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Youth Service Days.
