The office of Emergency Management Services is responsible for the development of the county-wide emergency operations plan, coordination of emergency planning activities and providing technical assistance to political subdivisions throughout the county. In the event of an emergency or disaster, the coordinator provides assistance to the governing offices of the municipalities of the county and the county officials.
