Offers to bridge the gap between abundance and hunger by collecting and redistributing surplus food to food access partners like meal sites, pantries, shelters, and youth programs

Offers to work with registered child care providers to improve the nutritional level of the children they serve via nutrition classes and home visits. The program reimburses registered providers for providing USDA approved meals and snacks, thus ensuring the nutrition children need to grow.

Serves non-profit food pantries, feeding programs and community organization in seven Iowa counties: Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn and Washington Counties.

A program that provides nutritious meals and snacks to children and adults receiving child care. The CACFP reimburses child care providers for serving these healthy meals and snacks to children in their care up through age 12.
Clayton County Food Shelf provides food to those in need. Items available include boxed and canned food, diabetic food items, and baby items (when available) including diapers, formula, and baby food. There are usually have some perishable items on hand including: milk, bread, fresh produce in season, ground beef, venison, and eggs. Use of the pantry is limited to once a month; this may vary depending on circumstances. Home delivery is possible when necessary; call for information. The pantry is also available by appointment early mornings, late evenings, and weekends (call for an appointment). This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential and requires proof of address and identification. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs.

Offers a Food for Seniors program providing groceries to income eligible seniors in Champaign and Urbana who are in need of food. Groceries are delivered by volunteers on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month

Emergency Food Fund for Seniors in Champaign and Douglas Counties is for seniors that have been determined to be in emergent need of food by caseworkers. Caseworkers may get food to cover them until other resources are available. (For example, a senior needs food on a Friday when there are no open food pantries). Caseworker will submit a request for emergency funds to shop and deliver food to the senior to cover the weekend.

Provides access to food through emergency food aggregation, production, delivery, and distribution services.

Brings food directly to vulnerable community members through local neighborhood emergency food drop-off and distribution.

Provides access to fresh, nutritious food through five community gardens and several farm stands per month with each stand providing produce vouchers to increase client buying power.

Provides participants with a referral to a monthly nutrition food package program to assist them in obtaining an adequate diet and to help stretch available food dollars. Foods available: canned meats; juices; vegetables and fruits; cold and hot cereals; peanut butter, rice, macaroni, spaghetti, UHT and non fat dry milk, and cheese.

Delivery available for the homebound.

Distributes more than 23 million meals annually throughout a 23-county service area in eastern Iowa and western Illinois through a network of over 300 partners in food pantries, schools, senior residences, and community action organizations. Partner pantries are located in all counties of the service area. Call and speak to the receptionist to find a pantry nearby, or use the map tool online.

Monthly food packages for income eligible individuals 60 years and older. Clinics are held in Grand Island, Loup City, Columbus, and O'Neill. Contact CNCAP office for information on clinic dates for each location.
Commodity food packages to eligible participants age 60 and older. Participants are given a pre-packaged grouping of foods by participant pick up or home delivery.
Commodities available for eligible seniors age 60+.
Provides financial reimbursements to childcare providers for serving nutritious meals to children in their care.
Provides cash reimbursements for meals and snacks served to children in a child care setting. Providers may submit menus on-line, on paper, mail, or fax.

Resource library and training for participating child care providers, as well as cookbooks and free record-keeping calendars.

Food pantry home delivery program in that brings food and essential supplies to individuals and families in need.

To sign up for free deliveries, client must live within the delivery area of a United Way food pantry partner and work with them directly to set up free delivery. Current partners are:

The food pantry is open only on Tuesdays 1pm-5pm. Provides food and personal grooming supplies for people in need. Donations of food and grooming supplies appreciated. Delivers food and other essential items to the homes of Champaign County families in need, who are unable to access such items on their own.

Provides a holistic approach to medical problems and aim to address unmet social needs of patients.

Services may include, friendly calling, home visits, shopping/errand assistance, grocery delivery and assistance ordering (requires credit card, does not accept food stamps), smart Meals program, SHIP (Senior Health Insurance Program) counseling, social and educational events, and excercise classes for seniors.
