Provides home-delivered meals to homebound individuals 60 years of age or older.

Offers an older Adult and Senior Activity Center that provides seniors a place to gather and socialize. Staff will help refer those in need to other agencies for help as needed. The Center also acts as a warming/cooling center for the general population of DeWitt County during times of emergency or disaster.

The Friendship Center is also a Peace Meal congregate and home-delivery site. Peace Meals are available weekly, Monday through Friday.

A warm meal and built-in safety check is delivered every weekday of the year to those who are unable to buy or prepare food on their own. The service helps neighbors remain independent and safe in the comfort of their homes.
Congregate meals are provided to qualified individuals. The meal must meet 1/3 of the daily recommended dietary needs of adults 60 and over, including the requirements of the Older Americans Act and state and local laws.

Congregate Meals - All participating senior centers participate in both congregate meal and home delivered meal programs to help ensure the basic wellness of seniors. For those lacking a proper nutritious meal or unable to obtain meals by normal means, call the local senior center for assistance.

Grand Island Senior Dine - Voucher based dining experience at the local Hy-Vee Cafe for those seniors who may not be able to get to the senior center often. To apply, call the Grand Island Midland Area Agency on Aging Office at (402) 463-4565 for more information and to set up an appointment to receive vouchers.

-- Participants must be sixty (60) years of age or older.

-- Those receiving home delivered meals are not eligible for this program.

-- Voucher may be used for dine in only at Hy-Vee Caf (Hickory House).

-- Limited to one meal per day through the Older Americans Act. -- The one daily meal must be at one of the three Older American Act meal sites - Grand Generation Senior Center, Hy-Vee, or Regency Apartments.

-- Participants are limited to receive 10 voucher meal cards per month.

Provides a nutritious meal and reduces isolation of older persons by combining food with friendship, socialization, and nutrition education.
Congregate meals are provided to qualified individuals. The meal must meet 1/3 of the daily recommended dietary needs of adults 60 and over, including the requirements of the Older Americans Act and state and local laws.
Provides a congregate meal site for seniors ages 60 and over. The meal site provides the opportunity to meet other seniors for recreational, social, and educational activities. If unable to attend, may qualify for home delivered meals.

Provides hot meals delivered to home-bound seniors and a daily check on the home-bound senior by a volunteer on a daily basis.

Provides services and programs for Rochelle area senior citizens. Offers nutritious meal, meet with friends over coffee, play pool, play cards, take a computer, exercise, or a yoga class, join the quilting, crafting groups or the book club. Many other activities are available.

Offers information and assistance in applying for state benefit programs and Medicare counseling.
