WEATHERIZATION | IMPACT COMMUNITY ACTION PARTNERSHIP

For renters and home owners who are at or below the 200% federal poverty guidelines. Once determined income eligible or approved for LiHeap, households are placed on a waiting or priority list. The list is primarily based on the household's fuel usage from the previous year's heating season. If this is the first year you are signing up or you have not lived in that house for a year, you will have to wait until you meet that criteria to have a priority number. Additional priority is given to households with elderly, disabled, and young children.

Clients are contacted by phone or letter when their home is at the top of that priority list. At that time an appointment is set up for the Energy Auditor (Lloyd) to complete a thorough audit to determine what can be done on the home.
IMPACT only serves Boone, Marion, and Warren Counties with Weatherization. If a Polk County calls inquiring where they are on the list, they will need to contact the Energy Team at IMPACT and they will check with Polk County Weatherization to see where they are on their list. If the client lives in Jasper County, they will need to call MICA Weatherization at 641-752-7162.

**Cannot bump clients up on the list because of bad furnaces.
