Offers 13 fixed routes, a flexible route service in East Ames (EASE), a Dial-A-Ride service for persons with a disability, and a late night service (Moonlight Express).

Fixed routes and Dial-A-Ride operate every day of the year except Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Moonlight Express operates from 10:30 pm-2:30 am on Friday and Saturday nights when Iowa State University is in session.

All fixed route trips shown in the time tables are wheelchair accessible and service animals are allowed (pets that are not service animals are prohibited).

The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners, in cooperation with Aging Partners, provides accessible and economical public transportation for all persons in Lincoln and Lancaster County. The service connects riders from Lincoln to rural destinations in the county and transports riders from rural communities and residences into Lincoln.

Please note: At least one stop of the trip must be located outside of the Lincoln city limits. This stop may be either the morning pick-up point or the destination.

Reservations must be made one business day in advance of the trip to schedule a ride.

DPTS operates 15 bus routes and a downtown trolley route on a pulse system with buses departing the downtown Transit Center at 15 and 45 minutes past each hour.

In addition to fixed route bus service, DPTS also provides "Operation Uplift", door-to-door paratransit service for individuals who are unable to use the fixed route bus system due to a disability. Paratransit service is available during the same days and hours of operation as the fixed route bus system, but "Operation Uplift" operates on a demand responsive basis.

The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) is the largest public transit agency in Iowa. DART provides resources for those who vanpool, walk, or bike. These services connect thousands of people every day to jobs, school, medical appointments, entertainment and more.

DART serves Altoona, Ankeny, Bondurant, Clive, Des Moines, Grimes, Johnston, Pleasant Hill, Polk County, Urbandale, West Des Moines and Windsor Heights.

DART operates a family of transportation services that make getting around Greater Des Moines easier and more convenient. Our fleet of 150 buses travel more than 15,000 miles daily throughout the region, making trips to shopping malls, major business districts, residential areas and schools.

Students who do not qualify for free transportation are eligible to ride at a half-fare rate by scanning and showing their ID when boarding the bus. Half-Fare bus passes and tokens can be purchased at DART Central Station or local retailers such as Hy-Vee, Price Chopper or Cash Saver locations.
