METRO FLEX MICROTRANSIT | METRO

On-demand, app-based public transit pilot service. Links to all of Omaha's transit services, including the Metro buses, the Omaha Rapid Bus Transit (ORBT), and Metro's paratransit service (MOBY).

Allows anyone within one of three service zones (North Zone, South Zone, and West Zone) to book an on-demand ride through the Metro Flex OMA app or by phone.

Riders specify where they want to go and the app will share the best available trip, whether it's by bus, Metro Flex microtransit, or both. Once a rider has booked a trip, the app may match riders headed in the same direction in one shared vehicle.

Each zone has access to multiple Metro bus routes and at least one transit center. Riders are able to request on-demand rides when they're within one of the three zones and go anywhere within that zone. To get to another zone, the rider can connect to a bus route to finish the trip. Riders may need to move nearby to a designated pick up spot, which is often within half a block. (Riders should check the pick up spot closely to make sure they are at the correct spot.)
