Aids victims of crime who are unaware of the avenues of assistance open to them. The majority of crime victims are not knowledgeable of the procedures necessary to obtain assistance, or they are too traumatized or injured to cope with the problem. Victim Services is a free public service offering information, practical assistance and counseling referrals to victims of crime.
Offers support and counseling to victims and witnesses of homicide, sexual assault, felony assault (including domestic), burglary, and misdemeanors involving the elderly. Also provides services to those impacted by suicide.

Services include education about victim rights to address the emotional needs of the victim; information on the Criminal Justice System; assistance in filing protection orders and victim compensation forms; and referrals to agencies.

Offers a support group for victims of violent crime.
Offers help to victims with certain out-of-pocket expenses (when costs are not covered by insurance or other sources). It is funded entirely by fines and penalties paid by criminals (not by taxpayers). Program can pay for crime-related expenses such as medical care, counseling, lost wages, and funeral expenses (when costs are not covered by insurance or other sources). Can also pay for crime-scene clean-up, replacement of clothing held as evidence, replacement of security items, child or dependent care, housing/shelter expenses, relocation expenses and travel.
