The county attorney provides support and information for crime victims and witnesses including explaining the court process, informing victims and witnesses of charges filed, providing assistance with filing for victim compensation, providing referrals to other agencies and resources as needed, maintaining records of restitution payments, and assisting in returning property kept as evidence.
