Provides information and assistance to older adults at several sites in the community. Seniors needing assistance with Medicare, housing, energy assistance, Public Aid or other needs are able to meet with and receive assistance from a certified caseworker. Seniors may call to speak with a caseworker or meet with a caseworker in their own home if they unable to come into one of the sites affiliated with Ogle County SIS.

Provides comprehensive health care coverage to low income adults. It is an Iowa Medicaid program that covers adults ages 19-64 with income at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level. Members can choose a provider from the statewide Medicaid provider network and are able to get care from local providers.
People requiring services are asked to call and inquire about the status of the services required. Medicaid is available to pay for the cost of emergency services for aliens who do not meet citizenship, alien status, or social security number requirements. The emergency services must be provided in a facility such as a hospital, clinic, or office that can provide the required care after the emergency medical condition has occurred. Coverage for up to 3 days is available.
Administers retirement, disability, survivor, and family benefits, and enrolls individuals in Medicare. Also provides Social Security Numbers.

Winneshiek County Department of Human Services administers the county funding and case management for long term care services under County Waiver Programs, which is available to people with disabilities and older Iowans who need services and supports, which may allow them to stay in their homes.
Medicaid enrollment provides assistance in applying for Medicaid. To qualify for Medicaid, a person must be a citizen or legal resident of the United States and meet income guidelines. Unborn children are also eligible for Medicaid.

MEDICAID (Medical Assistance) is available to people who are low income and aged (65 and older), disabled (including blindness), women needing treatment for cancer or pre-cancerous conditions of breast or cervix (who have been screened and diagnosed through the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection program and who do not have credible health insurance coverage), children under 21 years of age, pregnant women, parents or other caretaker relatives of children under age 18 (or under age 19 if they are attending secondary school and are expected to graduate before age 19). Medicaid will pay the costs of Health care, Dental care, In-home health care, Nursing facility care or Residential facility care.

Provides outreach and education to the community about the Iowa state insurance plan for uninsured children through the age of 19 years old.

Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa, or Hawki is a health insurance program for children. Hawki serves children throughout the State of Iowa, making sure they receive the medical/dental attention they need so they can grow healthy and strong. Hawki is for families who make too much money to receive Medicaid, but find their private insurance plans are too high in price. Children ages 0-19 years of age, whose families meet the income guidelines, are eligible to receive low-cost or free health insurance through the Hawki program. In Washington and Henry County, the Hawki medical plan is administered through United Health Care and Amerigroup. Once a family is determined eligible, they are able to choose which plan is best for their children. Families are now able to apply for a dental only plan through Hawki. In Washington and Henry County, the Hawki dental plan is administered through Delta Dental.
HAWK-I is a free or low cost health and dental program for children up to 19 years of age. The amount paid is based on the family's yearly countable income. Coverage under Hawk-I insurance must be renewed every year.
