DOUBLE UP FOOD BUCKS | IOWA HEALTHIEST STATE INITIATIVE

Double Up Food Bucks matches the value of SNAP (the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as food stamps) EBT purchases made on fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers markets and grocery stores with additional dollars to spend on more fresh fruits and vegetables. For instance, a family that spends $5 in SNAP benefits on fresh fruits and vegetables at a participating farmers market or grocery store receives an additional $5 in Double Up Food Bucks to purchase more fresh fruits and vegetables at their next shopping trip. You can earn up to $15 of Double Up Food Bucks per shopping trip.

****11/3/25: Despite the federal shutdown affecting SNAP benefits, Double Up Food Bucks continues to be available to SNAP users who have any remaining funds on their EBT card.

Double Up Food Bucks remains active in Iowa.

Shoppers can still earn up to $15/day in DUFB when using SNAP/EBT for fresh fruits and vegetables at participating locations.

Shoppers can still spend DUFB for fresh fruits and vegetables.

WIC or the use of personal funds, does not qualify for DUFB.
