Additionally, it offers companionship and linkage to services for individuals who are socially isolated, homebound, or otherwise in need of connection, aiming to brighten their day and maintain their contact with the outside world through activities such as reading, talking, listening, and other supportive tasks.

Volunteers provide transportation for medical purposes, to access food resources, pharmacies, libraries, church and more to eligible community members.

Volunteers can serve at HIRTA Helps' volunteer stations, which are local public agencies and nonprofits. Volunteers receive mileage reimbursement and supplemental and liability insurance.

The Community Health Representatives provide the following services:

-- Blood Pressure and Blood Glucose Screenings

-- Patient Care Services and Other Patient Services

-- Consults (medication, medical orders, appointments)

-- Environmental Health

Assists individuals and their families to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life. Some of the services provided are friendly visiting, transportation and escort, shopping and errand running, minor home and yard maintenance, letter writing and reading, and respite.

Provides connection services to county seniors. Offering friendly visits or friendly phone calls.

Provides non-medical in-home care providing assistance with personal care, mobility, medication management, shopping, transportation, meal preparation as well as provide respite and supportive community living services. Offers free in-home consultations.

Offers services such as transportation assistance (doctor's appointments, grocery store, hair appointments, etc.), help with yard work and minor home repairs. All services are provided by volunteers in the community.

Provides in-home services to seniors.

- Transportation to medical appointments within a 10-mile radius.
