Waukon Wellness Center offers fitness classes, including: cardio, chisel, senior circuit, cardio kick, fitness mix, total body conditioning, yoga, zumba, YogaSculpt, group cycling and circuit challenge. Roller Skating and other various activities are offered all year long. Activities include open group, and family skates, dance, walking, floor hockey leagues, aerobics, craft shows, tot lot and more. The building is also available for private rental for wedding receptions, etc. There is also a game room and outdoor miniature golf course.

Waukon City Park offers horseshoe courts; outdoor swimming pool; sand volleyball courts; 4 large and 5 small shelters with grills, additional grills located throughout the park; three small playgrounds and 1 large playground (Hideaway Park); campground with facilities; hikers trail; and fishing pond. Depending on the weather, an ice skating rink will be open is located at the park for use.

Offers swimming pools and spray pads open to the public. Some Aquatic Centers offer swim sessions, swimming lessons, and private and birthday party rentals. For season passes, passes are sold per household. Individual photo ID cards are required for each family member who wishes to have a pass. All pass holders must have a current photo taken or on file. Photos can be taken at City Hall or the Valley Junction Activity Center during regular business hours or at the West Des Moines Aquatic Centers starting the first week of the season during open swim hours.
