Outpatient assessments, referrals, intensive outpatient treatment, and peer support related to substance use. Through these interventions, the client with a substance abuse issue learns their issues are not unique and can be addressed. Family and loved ones are also taught coping skills to assist them in supporting the user build a healthier lifestyle.

Level I Outpatient Therapy provides professionally directed evaluation, treatment and recovery services for individuals experiencing a substance use disorder. Treatment services are provided in group or individual sessions or a combination of both, depending on an individual's needs. Treatment typically lasts 12 weeks.

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a group-focused, non-residential program for adults 19 and older. IOP is more in-depth than traditional outpatient treatment services, offering a minimum of 10 hours of treatment per week. IOP typically lasts six to eight weeks. Intensive groups meet for three-hour sessions, three days a week. Each participant must also attend at least one additional individual or family session each week. Services are available days and evenings.

Substance Use Evaluations are specialized assessments used to clinically determine possible substance use issues, with recommendations for an appropriate level of care if determined to be medically necessary.

Face-to-face appointments in the Panhandle and telehealth appointments anywhere in Nebraska. Substance evaluations comply with State of Nebraska guidelines and with Standardized Model requirements (if any court involvement).

Accepts Nebraska Medicaid and probation sliding-scale vouchers, multiple insurances. Region 1 adult clients without insurance are eligible for (BHA) sliding fee scale substance abuse evaluations in the counties of Sioux, Dawes, and Sheridan.

Works to help Veterans on their recovery journey through outpatient and inpatient services. The residential facility helps Veterans deal with substance abuse, homelessness, mental health, and unemployment through its 24-hour therapeutic and educational programs.

Provides a comprehensive and integrated range of mental health, substance use, and primary health services to any individual, regardless of funding. Integrates mental health and substance use care with physical health care, utilizing a wide variety of evidence-based practices. Responsible for directly providing (or contracting with partner organizations to provide) nine required types of services: crisis mental health services; screening, assessment and diagnosis, including risk assessment; patient-centered treatment planning; outpatient mental health and substance use services; primary care screening and monitoring of key health indicators/health risk; targeted case management; psychiatric rehabilitation services; peer support and family supports; and intensive, community-based mental health care for members of the armed forces and veterans.

Family Support / Community Treatment Aide helps parents create a healthy and positive home environment. Ensures proper care, safety and guidance of children, creates alternative support systems, and achieves self-sufficiency. Specialists usually meet with parent, youth or the entire family in their home, school or community setting to provide education, assistance, crisis intervention and support.

Parent Assist Service assists parents with 'at risk' youth by educating them on how to set rules, expectations and consequences and by providing them with information to additional resources.

Residential and non-residential substance abuse and mental health services for men and women age 19 and above.

Short-term and long-term residential treatment. Clients in residential treatment live in a safe, supportive environment, meet weekly with a licensed therapist, and attend a variety of groups focused on substance use and mental health.

Offers a day and evening non-residential Intensive Outpatient Program. Clients meet weekly with a licensed therapist and attend 9 hours of programming, meeting 3 hours 3 times per week.

Evening non-residential Outpatient Program requires a commitment of 3 hours of programming for 1.5 hours twice a week, and individual meetings with a licensed therapist as needed.

Substance Abuse Services are the single point of entry for state funded substance abuse treatment services within Polk County. Assessment counselors determine treatment needs, if any, for others referred by the courts, county, private attorneys, treatment and other health and social service providers, family members and those who are self-referred.
