An optional opportunity for clients in the Branching Out Independent Living Program. Provides affordable, safe, temporary living spaces to young adults ages 18 to 26. Young adults in the program are surrounded by on-site support services to help them advance their careers, achieve their academic goals and develop the necessary skills to be independent.

Samaritan Program participants stay on campus and work actively toward goals such as seeking housing, transportation, etc. 90-day maximum stay.

New Life Program lasts approximately one year and is designed for those seeking a new life in Christ and a life free from the bondage of sin and addiction.

Services to runaway, homeless, near-homeless and street-dependent youth. Array of services includes shelter, street outreach, transitional living, and maternity group home.

24-hour crisis line for youth needing emergency assistance.

Emergency services include shelter program (short-term), Transitional Living Program (TLP), and Maternity Group Home (MGH) for up to 18 months. A variety of support services are provided for youth while in residence.

Require authorization of parent or guardian within 72 hours of placement for shelter placements and housing services.

Services include housing, all meals, transportation to school and scheduled appointments. Must be involved in daily residential activities including hygiene, meal preparation, scheduling activities, laundry, and facility upkeep.

WOMEN AND CHILDREN'S SHELTER AND LIFE RECOVERY SERVICES | HOPE MINISTRIES

Offers the following services to women and women with children (these are not emergency shelter programs):

SHELTER offers short term shelter to meet the basic needs such as shelter, meals, and daily essentials, including clothing, hygiene items and laundry. Case management and referral services are provided with no fees. Please call ahead Monday- Friday between 8am-4:30pm to check on availability.

LONG-TERM LIFE RECOVERY for women (with or without children) is available to clients who are open and teachable with a willingness to change to do the hard work of life recovery. Women are offered an opportunity to work on their recovery and life skills for up to 24 months. Focus in on preparation to live independently while continuing to work on spiritual growth, recovery, basic life and work skills. Life recovery clients are required to save 75% of any income toward their transition fund.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING | HEARTLAND FAMILY SERVICE

Short-term transitional housing, designed to assist people with a diagnosed mental health or co-occurring condition while they transition to stability in the community. Helps clients secure permanent housing and connects them with community-based mental health or substance abuse services and avoid unnecessary incarceration.

Staff are available 24 hours a day at the facility for resident oversight and assistance. The building consists of 15 beds that are arranged in either single- or double-occupancy bedrooms, plus bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, and living room. Residents pay 30% of their income toward their living expenses at the facility.

Staff can help clients:

- Create a plan for housing

- Connect to services to improve physical and mental health

- Support in recovery from substance use

- Support in finding employment or applying for Social Security benefits

- Connect to programs that help with life skills (cooking/cleaning, budgeting, relationship/communication skills, etc.)

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR MEN IN RECOVERY | UNITY HOUSE OF DAVENPORT

Offers a place where men in recovery from addiction learn to live together in harmony and help each other grow in their sobriety.

Residents come from a recovery program or other areas when they need additional structure and support before returning to their homes and communities. The 7 houses have a resident manager, strict format, and structure to keep the house in order and the men sober in an environment that provides fertile ground for people to grow.

Adult Co-occurring Disorders Residential Treatment Program offers transitional housing and residential treatment for adults 19 and over with co-occurring severe and persistent mental illness and substance dependence. Services include individual, group, and family counseling; recreational therapy; case management; and psychiatric services. Expected stay 6-8 months. Eligible clients must be homeless.

Community Transitions provides psychiatric residential rehabilitation services in a residential setting to prepare adults with serious mental illness for community living.

Long-term shelter program for two-parent families, single-parent families, couples of the same and opposite sex, and single cisgender or transgender women experiencing homelessness or near homelessness. Participants in the program are assigned to a Case Manager who works with the client on budgeting, connecting with services, and helping with goal setting.

Supportive Housing serves both single youth as well as pregnant and/or parenting youth. Youth can remain in Supportive Housing for up to 24 months.

Permanent Housing Program is a HUD-funded program for youth ages 18-24. Youth are provided with a subsidized house/apartment and work with a case manager to reduce homelessness or unsafe living conditions and to achieve permanent housing. Permanent Housing serves youth who have a mental health and/or substance abuse diagnosis. Permanent Housing serves both single youth as well as pregnant and/or parenting youth. There is no time-limit to their participation.

Life skills training in the areas of education, employment, independent living, and parenting.
